$149ECSLearning the Essential Camera Skills
While there are ton of buttons and dials on a digital camera, there are really only a few truly essential ones. These controls, if well used, can allow you to capture outstanding images virtually any place, any time. This course will provide you that essential knowledge and will offer you about four hours of actual hands-on, guided practice. It's a perfect followup to the introductory courses DPD and ESS.
Topics included in this course are:
Exposure is a critical issue image quality and creative issue in digital photography. In this hands-on workshop session you will learn how to quickly and effectively control exposure and related image appearance, including creatively capturing motion using ISO and Shutter Speed.
When you learn to control the image properties of depth-of-field, and perspective you will have taken one of the biggest steps towards creating powerful artistic and documentary images. Discover how to take full control of both as we explore the power of aperture and focal length.
While you may think of focusing as something that the camera just does for you, you can never be sure to get razor sharp images without skillful control of focus modes and focus points. Learn the best methods for capturing perfectly focus images in any situation.
Prior attendance of a DPD course is pre-requisite unless you already have a at least a basic understanding of how to access and use the histogram, shutter speed, aperture, and light meter controls of your camera.
2 classes – each 3 hours long. Bring a tripod and digital camera with a fully-charged battery for these intensively hands-on workshops.
